All Britt Stanton
wants is a little adventure in his life. His
plan is to tag along with the Greater Metro
Treasure hunters club as they go on the hunt for
the Lost Spanish Gold Treasure along the old Sante Fe Trail. His gorgeous girlfriend, Karis
McConnell has other ideas, and instead wants
Britt to take her to the Sandals resort in
Jamaica where she can be in a her bikini, soak
up the sun, and sip on Mai Tai's, not be out in
the middle of no where Kansas swinging a metal
detector around! Not only that, but Britt
intends to treasure hunt with his old friend
Royce Atwood! If there is anyone that irritates
Karis more than Royce, she hasn't met them yet!
Britt's search for gold begins with more drama
with Karis then the promised prospect of riches.
Britt is
determined to follow his personal research and
find the Lost Spanish Treasure of the Sante Fe.
He is sure he knows the area where it might be
found and had set up a private search through a
local guide on private land separate from where
the Metro members are hunting. With the gold
Britt can live the life he has always wanted and
finally quit his old job. Britt, however, isn't
aware that this adventure is going to take a
couple of strange twists along the way and his
path to possible riches is strewn with
difficulties.
Instead of being
just a couple of buddies out being real men and
challenging the elements while on the hunt for
gold, he finds out Royce had invited a female
cousin of his that is an historical
anthropologist "unmarried with a great
personality" along on the trip with out
asking Britt about it! Not only that, but Royce
hopes to break Britt and Karis up so he can find
someone, like the good professor that will treat
Britt right. Unfortunately, Britt assumes he
isn't interested in this attempt at
match-making.
Britt doesn't
want anything to do with the cousin,
Professor Edith Monroe, just as soon as he hears
Britt describe her. Britt won't give up his
quest for riches despite any setbacks. Ahead
lies trouble when Britt and Royce lock horns
with a rich business man and his flunkies
hanging around hoping to let others lead them to
the treasure so they can snatch it away for
themselves. Adventures of this magnitude seldom
goes without risk and danger along the way.
One of those problems happens to be a ghost that
haunts the Sante Fe trail and doesn't know at
first he's dead. That apparition can lead them
to untold wealth or lead them to destruction.
Will romance win the heart of Britt Stanton
along the way? Can Britt and Royce and their
crew over come all these problems to strike it
rich or be left more in debt than before?
Will they end up dead? Will someone else find
and claim the lost Spanish Gold of the Sante Fe
first? Hang on, it's going to be a wild ride.
